Sailing Conditions: During the summer months, the prevailing wind in the Aegean Sea including the Argosaronic Gulf, is the Meltemi. These north-to-northwesterly winds typically blow in July and August, providing consistent and refreshing sailing conditions. While they can be strong at times, especially in the open sea, they are generally moderate in the sheltered waters of the gulf.

In addition to the Meltemi, local sea breezes also influence sailing conditions in the Argosaronic Gulf.
